Tour of the staff portal

A guided walk-through of the dashboard, sidebar, top bar, profile menu, themes, and tenant switcher.

What you see when you sign in

The staff portal opens on the Dashboard. It is built to answer one question at a glance: Is my RPM program healthy today?

You will see four primary KPI cards across the top:

  • Active Patients: patients currently enrolled in monitoring
  • Readings Today: how many of those patients have transmitted at least one reading today
  • Open Escalations: alerts that still need clinical attention
  • No Readings (3 days): patients who have gone silent and may need outreach

Below the KPI strip, a second row shows your device inventory: Total, Assigned, Unassigned, and Active Devices (those transmitting recently). Each card is clickable. Tap any number to drill into the underlying list.

Underneath, three infographics visualize compliance and trends:

  1. Readings Compliance gauge: the percentage of active patients with a reading today, color-coded green / amber / red.
  2. Device Utilisation donut: assigned vs. unassigned devices.
  3. 7-day Readings Trend: a smooth area chart of how many patients transmitted each day for the past week.

A small refresh icon in the top right of the page header reloads everything without a full page reload.

If you just signed up, an onboarding banner appears above the KPIs guiding you through enrollment, device assignment, and your first reading. It disappears once your program is live.

The sidebar

The left sidebar is your primary navigation. From top to bottom you'll typically see:

  • Dashboard: the overview you land on
  • Patients: enrollment, demographics, and care plans
  • Devices: inventory, assignments, and SIM cards
  • Monitoring: readings, vitals, and trend review
  • Escalations: open alerts requiring clinical action
  • Billing: subscriptions, invoices, and RPM revenue capture
  • Settings: branding, integrations, system preferences

The sidebar collapses to icons-only on smaller screens or when you need more horizontal space. Click the chevron at the top of the sidebar to toggle it.

The top bar

Across the top of every page you'll find:

  • Page title and description: what you're looking at
  • Search: a global search that finds patients, devices, and staff by name, MRN, or serial number
  • Theme toggle: sun / moon icon to switch between light and dark
  • Notifications bell: recent alerts and system messages
  • Profile menu: your avatar in the far right corner

The profile menu

Click your avatar to open the profile menu. From here you can:

  • View and edit your profile (name, photo, contact info)
  • Change your password and manage two-factor authentication
  • Review your active sessions and sign out of remote devices
  • Switch tenants if you work at multiple practices
  • Sign out of this device

Theme toggle

Vantrexia ships with five themes: Default (light blue), Dark, Ocean, Clinical (teal), and Sunset. The sun/moon icon in the top bar toggles between light and dark variants. To pick a different theme entirely, open Settings → Branding. Themes are stored per user, so each teammate can choose their own.

Your practice's brand colors blend with the active theme automatically, so logos and accents stay readable in both light and dark modes.

Tenant switcher (for multi-practice users)

If your account has access to more than one practice (for example, a nurse who works at two clinics, or a practice owner with several locations) you'll see a tenant switcher in the profile menu (and sometimes in the top bar). It lists every tenant you belong to, with the current one marked.

To switch:

Click your avatar in the top right.
Choose Switch tenant (or click the current tenant name).
Pick the practice you want to work in.

The page reloads into that tenant's data. Your role, permissions, and branding all change to match. Switching is instant. You do not need to sign out and back in.

Always confirm the tenant name in the top bar before charting on a patient. If you have access to multiple practices, it is easy to act in the wrong one if you switch by accident.

A note on permissions

Not every user sees every menu. The sidebar adapts to your role. Clinical staff see patients and monitoring; admins additionally see billing and settings. If a teammate cannot find something you can, check their role on the Team management page.
